Turtle sanctuary: About 6 km from Cherating is the famous Chendor Beach, where the Turtle Sanctuary is located. From early July to September, visitors can watch green turtles (or occasionally giant leatherback turtles) toil ashore to lay eggs at night. Night market in Chukai town: An experience through the local culture. An open market where the locals gather and market their agricultural and local products. A good place to try out the local delicacies and fruits.
